Long Island Trading was established in September 2004, after successfully receiving a contract with Palabora mining company to privatize their electronic workshop. We also were allocated all the test equipment to run the shop. Mr. Willem Verhoef started his Instrumentation apprentenship in 1964 and qualified in 1969. He was Instrumentation Supervisor for 6 Years and 10 years Superintendent at Palabora Mining Company (Pty) Ltd. During his time he worked on the Honeywell DCS and Siemens PLC.
